Frequently asked questions

People often ask will it hurt?

Acupuncture uses ultra fine sterile needles. Some patients feel a slight discomfort, this is the connection to the bodies qi (pronounced chee) which is the bodies energy. Tui Na ranges from subtle to deep tissue massage depending on the area of the body to be treated. Most patients feel relaxed during and after treatment. For ladies who are menstruating sensitivity can increase.

What treatment is best for me?

Please feel free to specify either acupuncture or Tui Na if you have a preference. Alternatively when you contact Anna to discuss your condition we can decide what type of treatment is most suitable for you. Often a combination of Acupuncture and Tui Na is used.

How long does an appointment last?

Usually allow one hour.

Are home visits available?

Yes, please call Anna on 07983046543 to discuss requirements.

I am scared of needles

Dont worry! With acupuncture you won't see the needles being used and very often you don't feel them. If you prefer, Tui Na treatments don't use any needles.

I  have a group or workplace that  will benefit from treatment.

Anna can visit  the workplace or a group setting and offer short focussed treatments to a number of people. This can include Tui Na and cupping and Acupuncture. Depending on numbers to be treated involves hire for a half day or full day. This can be discussed further on 07983046543.

Please contact Anna to arrange an appointment or discuss your requirements further on 07983046543. Alternatively contact acupuncturewithanna@gmail.com
